Recipe Instructions:

Ingredients:
• 1 medium green papaya, peeled and julienned
• 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
• 1/4 cup green beans, cut into 1-inch pieces
• 2-3 Thai bird's eye chilies, minced (adjust to taste)
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tablespoons fish sauce
• 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
• 1 tablespoon palm sugar or brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons roasted peanuts, chopped
• Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
1. In a large mortar and pestle, pound minced garlic and Thai chilies together until crushed.
2. Add palm sugar (or brown sugar), fish sauce, and lime juice to the mortar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
3. Add julienned green papaya, halved cherry tomatoes, and cut green beans to the mortar.
4. Pound gently with the pestle to bruise the vegetables and mix everything together.
5. Transfer Som Tam to a serving plate and garnish with chopped roasted peanuts and fresh cilantro.
6. Serve Som Tam (Thai Green Papaya Salad) immediately, enjoying its vibrant flavors and textures.
