Recipe Instructions:
Ingredients:
2 beef steaks (such as sirloin or ribeye), about 200g each
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil (approximately 30ml)
4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into fries (approximately 800g)
Salt for sprinkling
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steaks and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast the steaks for 6-8 minutes for medium-rare, or longer to the desired doneness.
Meanwhile, toss the peeled and cut potatoes with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper on a baking sheet.
Roast the potatoes in the oven for 30-35 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and crispy.
Remove the steaks and fries from the oven.
Let the steaks rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Serve the steaks with crispy fries, sprinkled with salt and garnished with chopped parsley.
