Recipe Instructions:

Ingredients:

115 grams ground beef or lamb
30 grams diced onion
1 garlic clove, minced
60 grams diced tomato
60 ml tomato sauce
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon paprika
A pinch of ground cinnamon
Salt and pepper to taste
15 ml olive oil
1 egg (optional)
Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a small pot or tagine over medium heat.
Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
Add ground beef or lamb, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned.
Stir in diced tomato, tomato sauce, ground cumin, paprika, ground cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
If using, create a well in the center of the tagine and crack an egg into it.
Cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes, until the egg whites are set but the yolk is still runny (if desired).
Garnish with fresh cilantro.
Serve hot as your OMAD meal, traditionally with crusty bread.
