Recipe Instructions:

Ingredients:
• 1 cup white rice
• 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. In a pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onion is translucent.
2. Add rice to the pot and stir to coat with oil. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
3. Pour in 2 cups of water and add salt. Bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until rice is tender and water is absorbed.
5. Meanwhile, in a separate pan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil. Add drained black beans and cook until heated through.
6. Serve the cooked rice and beans together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
