Ingredients:

100 grams of thinly sliced roast beef
1 small apple, thinly sliced
2 slices of your choice of bread (such as sourdough or whole wheat)
1-2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1-2 teaspoons Dijon mustard (optional)
1-2 leaves of lettuce (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:

Start by preparing your ingredients. Thinly slice the roast beef and the apple. You can use a mandoline slicer for uniform apple slices.

Toast the slices of bread in a toaster or on a skillet until they are golden brown.

While the bread is toasting, you can mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard (if using) in a small bowl. This will be your sandwich spread.

Once the bread is toasted, spread the mayonnaise mixture on one or both slices of bread, depending on your preference.

Layer the roast beef slices on one of the bread slices.

Arrange the thinly sliced apples on top of the roast beef.
