Ingredients:

480 grams cooked pinto beans (about 2 cups)
30 grams lard or vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
1 onion, finely chopped (about 150 grams)
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:

Heat lard or vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the cooked pinto beans to the skillet. Mash the beans with a potato masher or fork until smooth, leaving some texture if desired.
Continue to cook the beans, stirring frequently, until they are heated through and reach your desired consistency. This should take about 5-10 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve as a side dish or use as a filling for tacos, burritos, or other dishes.
Servings: Makes approximately 4 servings.
