Ingredients:
Cannellini Beans or Navy Beans: 2 cans (15 oz each), drained and rinsed (approximately 560 grams)
Onion: 1, finely chopped (about 150 grams)
Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
Tomato Paste: 1/4 cup (60 grams)
Brown Sugar or Maple Syrup: 1/4 cup (50 grams or 60 ml)
Mustard (Optional): 2 tablespoons (30 grams)
Apple Cider Vinegar: 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
Salt and Pepper: To taste
Vegetable Broth or Water: 1/2 cup (120 ml)
Chopped Fresh Parsley (Optional, for garnish): 1/4 cup (15 grams)
Instructions:
o Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
o In a large oven-safe skillet or baking dish, combine chopped onion, minced garlic, tomato paste, brown sugar or maple syrup, mustard (if using), apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper.
o Stir in drained and rinsed beans until well coated with the sauce mixture.
o Pour vegetable broth or water over the beans.
o Cover the skillet or baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the sauce thickens and beans are tender.
o Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
o Serve Grosh të Pjekura hot as a hearty vegetarian main dish or side.
