Ingredients:
• 2 cups pretzels, crushed
• 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
• 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 8 oz whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
• 6 oz strawberry gelatin
• 2 cups boiling water
• 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
• 1 cup boiling water
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a medium bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
3. Bake pretzel crust for 10 minutes, then let cool completely.
4. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping.
5. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust. Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the next layer.
6. In a separate bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in 2 cups of boiling water. Let cool for 10-15 minutes.
7. Arrange sliced strawberries over the cream cheese layer in the baking dish.
8. Carefully pour the cooled strawberry gelatin over the strawberries.
9. Chill the Strawberry Pretzel Salad in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.
10. Cut into squares and serve chilled.
