Recipe Instructions:
Ingredients
1 Cup All Purpose Flour
Pinch Baking Powder
Pinch Baking Soda
3/4 Cup + 1 Cup Water
1 Tablespoon Orange food color
2 Cups Sugar
1 Lemon Juice
Cooking Directions
Add 2 cups water in a pan on high heat. Pour in 1 cup water. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Once the sugar mixture has started bubbling, add in a squeeze of lemon juice. Allow to keep bubbling. Add into the syrup orange food color. Cook until the syrup has thickened.
For the batter add baking powder into flour in a bowl. Add a tiny pinch of baking soda. Add in orange food color. Whisk the dry ingredients until combined. Add water into the dry ingredients. Start mixing the batter
Add a tablespoon at a time of water until you get smooth slightly thick batter. Pour batter in a squeeze bottle or tomato sauce bottle. Squeeze spiral shapes into the hot oil. Start from the inside out to create spirals. Finish frying all the batter, set aside
