Ingredients:
Potatoes: 4 medium (about 600g)
Olive oil: 1/4 cup (60g) for frying
Salt: to taste
Simple Brava Sauce:
Tomato sauce: 1/2 cup (120g)
Garlic powder: 1/2 teaspoon (1g)
Paprika: 1/2 teaspoon (1g)
Salt: to taste
Instructions:
Prepare Potatoes: Peel and cut potatoes into 1-inch cubes. Rinse under cold water and pat dry.
Fry Potatoes: Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the potato cubes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt.
Make Sauce: In a small bowl, mix tomato sauce with garlic powder, paprika, and salt.
Serve: Drizzle the brava sauce over the fried potatoes or serve it on the side for dipping.
2. Gambas al Ajillo
Ingredients:
Shrimp: 200g, peeled and deveined
Olive oil: 2 tablespoons (30g)
Garlic: 3 cloves (15g), thinly sliced
Salt: to taste
Red pepper flakes (optional): 1/4 teaspoon (0.5g) for added heat
Instructions:
Cook Garlic: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant but not burnt, about 1 minute.
Cook Shrimp: Add shrimp to the pan and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Season: Season with salt and red pepper flakes (if using).
Serve: Serve hot with a sprinkle of additional red pepper flakes or chopped parsley if desired.
