Recipe Instructions:

Ingredients:

115 grams flank steak or skirt steak
30 grams diced onion
30 grams diced bell pepper (red or green)
30 grams diced tomato
1 garlic clove, minced
2.5 grams ground cumin
2.5 grams dried oregano
Pinch of smoked paprika (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
120 ml beef broth or water
15 ml olive oil
Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a small pot over medium-high heat.
Add flank steak or skirt steak and brown on both sides.
Add diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in diced tomato, ground cumin, dried oregano, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
Pour in beef broth or water. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 to 2.5 hours, until beef is tender and shreds easily.
Shred the beef using two forks.
Serve hot, traditionally with rice and black beans.
