Recipe Instructions:
Ingredients:
• 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
• 1/2 cup tomato sauce or marinara sauce
• 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
• Fresh basil leaves
• Olive oil
• Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
o Preheat your oven to the highest temperature setting (usually around 500°F or 260°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
o Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
o Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or lightly floured baking sheet.
o Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
o Arrange slices of fresh mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
o Drizzle a little olive oil over the pizza and season with salt and pepper.
o If using a pizza stone, carefully slide the pizza onto the hot stone in the oven. Otherwise, place the baking sheet with the pizza directly in the oven.
o Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
o Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately top with fresh basil leaves.
o Slice and serve hot as a delightful vegetarian main course.
