Breadcrumbs: 30g (1/2 cup)
Grated Parmesan Cheese: 25g (1/4 cup)
Egg: 50g (1 large egg)
Garlic: 6g (2 cloves, minced)
Dried Oregano: 1g (1 teaspoon)
Salt: to taste
Pepper: to taste
Marinara Sauce: 480g (2 cups)
Cooked Whole-Wheat Pasta: Amount depends on serving size (typically about 80-100g of dry pasta per person)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
Prepare Meatballs:
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the mixture into mini meatballs, about 2.5 cm (1 inch) in diameter.
Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
Heat Marinara Sauce:
In a saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat.
Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve:
Serve the mini meatballs and marinara sauce over cooked whole-wheat pasta. Garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil, if desired.
