Instructions:
Marinate the Protein:
In a bowl, combine the cubed chicken or tofu with the teriyaki sauce.
Marinate for 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the protein.
Cook Brown Rice:
Prepare the brown rice according to the package instructions. Set aside once cooked.
Steam Broccoli:
Steam the broccoli florets until they are tender-crisp. This usually takes about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
Cook the Chicken or Tofu:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the marinated chicken or tofu to the skillet.
Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes), or until the tofu is golden and heated through, stirring occasionally.
Assemble the Dish:
Place a portion of cooked brown rice on each plate.
Top with the teriyaki chicken or tofu.
Arrange steamed broccoli on the side.
